Miles Today: 0.0 (pouring down rain this morning)
Miles This Year: 1523.0
Goal for the year: 1000 (so there...in your face!)
Even though the day started out with terrible weather (I hate having to haul the kids-and all the STUFF-into school in the rain!!), the kids both had wonderful days today!!! After the week we had last week, I was ready for some good reports!
I didn't run this morning, because there was a huge thunder/lightening storm going on when I got up. I still got up early and did sit-ups and some good stretches. I love some good lightening that lights up a whole dark room!!
The bad part about a good thunder storm...it wakes up little people. So, the kids watched a little of the news while I got dressed.

Back to school...
While I like a good holiday as much as the next guy, I crave a schedule. It was fine-by-me to head back to school/work this morning.
Even though the day started out with terrible weather (I hate having to haul the kids-and all the STUFF-into school in the rain!!), the kids both had wonderful days today!!! After the week we had last week, I was ready for some good reports!
Roo's "ballee" classes started back today with Ms. Lauran. They have the sweetest little love-affair going on. They both just love each other so much!! It is so cute to watch that little girlie girl dance!

| somehow...this is the only pic I have of her in her ballet get-up. And yes, she's friends with Batman, too. Sometimes he goes running with us, kay?!?! |
On the way home, I told the kiddos that we would stop and they could get a prize. I was thinking Dollar Tree, but when my gas light "dinged" in the car, I changed my mind to Gas Station. For their ONE THING EACH, Roo grabbed a bag of SC&O chips and Dub went straight for the BBQ chips. Thank you, Conoco, for putting the chip aisle before the candy aisle!! That was thoughtful of you!
Extra little treat with dinner tonight!!

Race Sign Up
I just signed up to run The Auburn Classic Half Marathon and 10K. It is on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 7:30 am. This half marathon only costs $40 - THAT IS CHEAP!!! Sign up now and you will have plenty of time to train (if that's your thang). Plus, it will be easy to get up and drive over there the morning of.

Korean Class
In true "Oh...Like I Have Time For This!" fashion, I have signed up to take a Korean for Beginners Class at AUM. It starts tomorrow night and I am very excited about it. With the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Plant here in Montgomery (along with a very large Air Force Base), the cultural scene has changed a lot over the past several years. And, working with so many Korean families at school, I am super excited to (hopefully) learn a few words and cultural traditions.
I'll let you know how that goes on Thursday.
Speaking of Korean...
My parents have been very good friends with a great Korean couple for almost 10 years. They moved here from Korean with Hyundai in their first phase of the plant. While I was pregnant with Dub, they went back to Korea for a summer and when they returned, they brought me a traditional birthday suit for a boy's first birthday.
And, again while I was pregnant with Roo, they went home for a summer. They brought back one for her, too.
OK...either Korean babies are HUGE on their first birthdays, or there is a definitely translation mix up when it comes to sizing baby clothes. When I was telling my mom about the class I had signed up for, she whipped those bad boys out and we played dress up!! The kids loved the costumes. They are already thinking about Halloween (um...we'll get to that obsession later!!)

Mariachi Sauce
Ben came home as I was showering the kids and after we put them to bed, we ran up to the old favorite to grab a quick dinner. We tried something new tonight...Mariachi Sauce.
Ummmmm.....this might be my new favorite thing on the PLANET!!!
It was sooooo stinkin' hot, but delicious! If you frequent LZR, try it...you'll like it!
Anyway...that's my day. I swear...it'll get better!
