Miles Today: 3.1

Miles This Year: 1541.1

Goal for the year: 1000 (so there...in your face!)

The kids ran with me for the first mile this morning...I wore compression socks, so Della wore knee highs to be just like me.  Dub, on the other hand, saw a man running on tv without a shirt on and insisted he could run fast without a shirt on, as well.

so fast!!!

 And, of course, we had to stop and check out the mushrooms...fascinating!!

Friday Night Lights!

Last night, Ben took WW to the football game at school...

and Roo and I stayed at home to do girly things...

like try on a new captian's hat...

...mani's...pedi's...ice cream...oh MY!!

OK, Back to Saturday Morning...

After our run, we got Daddy and hit up our favorite spot for Cheese Grits!!

  Then, we headed downtown for a special surprise!!

Mom will not tell is what is behind those door.....

What is it?!?!?!?!!?!?

DINOSAURS!!!!!!

We checked out the Discover the Dinosaurs traveling show.  It was a little bit of a let down (well...for the parents).  The kids LOVED it.  I wish it would have been a little longer.  It only took us about 40 minutes to walk through and see everything...I had hopes of 2 hours.  It takes a lot of planning to knock out a Saturday morning at our house.  :)

The kids spent Saturday night with Mimi and Pop Pop. So nice to have a break.  They have not spent the night out in about 3 weeks and it has been taking it's toll on me.  I was so thankful for the night off. 

BAMA GAME!!

My sister, Boo, and her boyfriend, E, came over to watch the game on Saturday afternoon.   After the big W (which was a bit of a sleeper game, to tell the truth), Ben and I went back over to Boo's house to cook out!  Yummo!!

We grilled everything in the house, I think.  Steaks, Carrots, Okra., Onions, Green Beans...if it was in the fridge, we cooked it.

We met the kids for lunch at Mimi's house, but Della and I had a very important meeting on Sunday afternoon...

A Princess Birthday Party for Charliegh Kate!!

Those little girls were sooo darn cute in their princess get-ups.  Loved it!

Good run this morning.  

Up, run, get dressed and get the kids dressed and to school before 7:15...sure...piece of cake!!

After school, the kids played with their newest best buddy, Charlie, who lives next door.  It's a good thing Dub and Charlie have matching opinions about football!!  That could cause problems in our area of the country...

They are all YELLING ROLL TIDE!!!!

                        And, we washed down the day with a completely Southern supper...
                                                                 Silver Queen Corn...

Ribs and Green Beans....

 And, of course, Apple Pie!!

First time to try apple pie...loving it!!

I am sorry for missing a few days.  I am watching Julie and Julia right now and got inspired to get back to the blog!  Hope you didn't miss me too much!

Anyway...that's my day.  I swear...it'll get better!
