A Special Request

Miles Today: 2.0 (walking)
Miles This Year: 1571
Goal for the year: 1000 (so there...in your face!)

I just walked again this morning.  It felt great, but I was nice and slow.  I did 2 miles in just about 20 minutes.  When I got back to the house, my back was feeling pretty good.  Then, I stretched and whamo--pain.

I have made an appointment with the old chiropractor to stretch me out and get some relief from that nerve.

Finally...

It's one-step-at-a-time around here, but this little booger finally buckled her OWN seatbelt!!

So Proud!!

Democracy!!

We had an election today in Alabama, so I took the kids with me to vote after school.  They got a little confused that we weren't at the Marina (they thought I was saying we were going boating).  They liked waiting in the line and seeing all the people.  Dub kept up with my license and Roo put the ballot in the machine.

Even though our vote counted, it didn't win the election.  Hopefully, we will have better luck in November.

Their favorite part of the whole process.....STICKERS, duh!!

Funny Girl...

When we got home, Roo and Big Mama had a coloring competition.  The funny part...Mama put her glasses and on Roo immediately picked up Big Daddy's glasses that were sitting on the counter, saying that she needed her glasses.  She just could see well without them.

Goofball
While we were coloring and putting puzzles together this afternoon, Dub went and played golf with Big Daddy at the club.  They practiced chipping the ball out of the sand trap.  I asked him if he was good at "chipping" and he replied..."no, but I'm good at sand trappin'."  He really is getting pretty good at golf.  Yeah!!

A simple request...

I do not know this family at all, but...

A friend of a friend's child was found unresponsive in a pool over the weekend and is being treated at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.  He is gradually making improvements, but has a ways to go.  The link is to the family's facebook page with updates of his progress.  Please stop and say a short prayer for this family for peace, patience and healing.  God is so good.

My prayer for this week is Matthew 6:8 "Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
So true.

Anyway...that's my day.  I swear...it'll get better!

Question for today...

Please tell ME a funny story about your day?

Did you vote?

Did you pray?
