2 Ducks and a meeting with the BOSS!!

Miles Today: 6.2 (54:36)
Miles This Year: 1435.2
Goal for the year: 1000 (so there...in your face!)

Two funny stories from yesterday...

1. The Incredible Boats

On our way home from school, Dub and Roo holler form the backseat "Whoa Mama...look at those incredible boats!!"  I look over and there, in the TJMaxx parking lot are 2 huge Cigarette Boats parked. I, being the awesome mom that I am, swing around so we can ride by and look.  Well, as we pull up next to them, I see some guys working on them and I roll the window down to let Dub see the boats.  Those nice men asked us if we wanted to get on them and play!!!  Cool, huh?

This one "only" goes about 85 mph...

This guy gets up to 120 mph....whoa!!!

2.  2 Ducks

First some background...in our family - long before I was even born - a poot has been called a duck, as in, "Gee, honey, I think there might be a duck under the house...I hear something quacking." (Nice one, Big Mama!!)

So, right after we pull out of the parking lot , I hear two very loud (and gross) noises.  I turned around, thinking that it definitely had to have been Dub, but no.  Roo puts up 2 stop-sign hands and says "Don't worry Mama, I not pooping.  I just make twwooooo ducks!"

Man...I love this kid!!

First World Problems... (and yes, I stole that from you, GingerFoxxx - please don't be mad, I likey your bloggy).  I had a meeting with my boss this afternoon at school.  For most folks, this might be terrifying; however, I have a wonderful boss who I just happen to love and think is a great lady.  Plus, she listens to suggestions about how to make our school a wonderful place to be for people from all over the world.  And--in addition to the movie-screen-sized iMac currently on my desk, she gave me a MacBook and an iPad...hard to argue with that!!  OK--kiss up session is over (but, I really do love her!).

Anyway...that's my day (so far anyway).  I swear...it'll get better!
