First Thing...
Have to retire a pair of shoes this morning.  I have put a little over 450 miles on these and I was feeling a little like busting out a new pair (don't worry...I have 3 more just like them in boxes) before this weekend.

Yesterday, while Dub and Mimi were at the doctor's office (and the barber shop and Dillard's and swimming and having a spend-the-night-party), I took Roo with me on a little shopping trip.  We went to Academy - I was on the hunt for something to wear for a specific race.  I have never really dressed in costume for a race, but I like a good theme.  I have something coming up, but I couldn't find what I wanted...let's just say I didn't see anything that glows in the dark!!!

She got to spend some good quality time with Daddy while I ran to our church for a meeting.  BenBen sent me a text message during my meeting with a pic of Roo watching church on tv (she normally wants to watch "the Grapes" (er...the Braves), but as he was flipping to it, she noticed our preacher and wouldn't let him change the channel.  cute...

Conversation on the way to school this morning:
Me: "You gonna have a good day today?"
Roo: "Perfect!!"

Nothing real eventful at work today.  Just a nice, easy day with a great job!  Ain't life grand?  I am supposed to go to bunko tonight, but I am not positive that is going to happen.  I am thinking a night with the hubs sounds much nicer! 

The kids are outside in the pool with Daddy while I am finishing this up for today.  I was out there with them but the dang mosquitoes were killing me...I had to come inside.  Alabama in August is no joke!  The rumors are all true (all the rumors).

Anyway...that's my day.  I swear...it'll get better!
